FT or PT mental health counselor (MHC-LP or LMHC/LMHC-D) hybrid NYC

McGarril Mental Health Counseling, P.C. is a growing mental health private practice in NY. We provide relational and trauma-informed care. We are offering hybrid remote/in person positions. You must reside in NYC area as there may be the potential for part time in person office hours at least one day per week.

We are seeking compassionate and driven therapists (MHC-LP' s and LMHC's only) who are committed to their clients and to expanding mental health access. Therapists must be skilled/specialize in working with anxiety, depression, interpersonal struggles, and life transitions. Experience working with couples, eating disorders. and utilize EMDR is a huge PLUS. Further trainings for EMDR, CPT and trauma-informed care will be incentivized.

Salary: $50-$75 per session for MHC-LP and $65-$125 LMHC/LMHC-D.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for a limited permit (MHC-LP) or LMHC upon hiring.
• At least 1 year of counseling experience providing intake assessments, individual counseling, couples/family counseling, and group counseling.
• Experience and willingness to work specifically with eating disorders and couples is a PLUS
• EMDR training major PLUS
• Experience writing intake notes, progress notes, treatment planning, and discharge summaries in SimplePractice.
• Able to manage multiple responsibilities, including completing clinical notes within 24 hours of the sessions, scheduling, email communications, billing, and any administrative tasks required of you.
• A private HIPAA compliant space with reliable internet to provide telehealth therapy.
• Must have your own malpractice insurance.
• Minimum of a two-year commitment to being part of McGarril Mental Health Counseling.
• Completing all intake assessments, individual, family/couples, and group counseling notes within 24 hours of the session.
• Ability to diagnose individuals with mental health diagnosis according to the DSM-V diagnostic criteria.
• Maintain code of ethics and confidentiality based on HIPAA regulations.
• Completing treatment plans every four months.
• Completing discharge summaries within 48 hours of client's termination or after two weeks of no-contact.
• Participating in weekly individual/group supervision.
• Submitting your session invoices weekly
• Managing your own McGarril Mental Health Counseling email and responding to clients and colleagues within 12-24 hrs.
• Engage in marketing efforts on various platforms to maintain a stream of referrals.
