Position Summary :

The Medical Assistant manages patient flow throughout the clinic and supports providers in delivering high-quality care for patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

The role emphasizes collaborative work, delegated tasks, and adherence to state and organizational scope of practice. The Medical Assistant reports to and collaborates with the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers to achieve patient care, departmental, and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Clinical Care :

• Assist with patient rooming, vitals, and standard clinical procedures.
• Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed by providers.
• Perform laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and routine clinic lab tests.
• Conduct x-ray duties if certified.
• Facilitate communication between patients and providers.
• Support prescription refills and telephone inquiries.

Clinic Support :

Maintain patient and team member confidentiality.
