We appreciate your interest and will contact you if your qualifications align with an immediate or future opportunity.\n\nChamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Clinical Nursing Faculty interested in teaching with our BSN Nursing program in Cheyenne, Wyoming.\n\nYou will be mentoring students in person at an inpatient clinical setting located in the Cheyenne area, making connections between what our students are learning in the classroom and during simulations, and their real-world application in patient care. By bridging this gap, we can ensure that our students are not only well-prepared for their roles as healthcare professionals but also confident in their abilities to provide high-quality care to their patients.\n\nScheduling : \n

• Schedule is determined based on the course need and the clinical specialty for each 8-week session\n
• Typically, clinical instructors are scheduled for 3-4 consecutive 12-hour shifts, which occur over a period of 1-2 weeks each session\n

• Pediatrics\n\nNo teaching experience is required, nurses with solid clinical experience and a completed MSN are encouraged to apply!\n\nResponsibilities : \n
• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching, and service to the College, community, health system and profession.\n
• Assumes responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads.\n
• Plans clinical experiences for and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to an individual or group of individuals.\n
• Makes self-available to staff at the agencies.\n
• Evaluates and provides documented feedback to student on level of performance based on course objectives.\n
• Is available for remediation of students as required or needed.\n
• Orients and maintains current knowledge related to agency / clinical policies, procedures, and expectations with the assistance of the agency / clinical personnel.\n
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base, skill competency and individual learning needs.\n
• Corrects and returns homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork and other written work in a timely manner.\n
• Contributes to the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the programs and the College.\n
• May teach didactic course content under supervision of course coordinator.\n
• Keeps course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.\n
• Works with college administration, staff and other faculty members to improve the overall operation of the college and student satisfaction rates.\n
• Participates in the implementation of the College Assessment Program, campus retention efforts, and both departmental and campus policies.\n
• Serves as a professional role model for other faculty, staff, and students in the areas of customer service, collaboration, communication, excellence, dress, attendance, and general professionalism.\n
• Utilizes relationship skills in situations requiring group problem solving, consensus building, and win-win negotiation.\n
• Complies with all applicable regulatory rules and standards.\n
• Reports to the dean or assistant dean : a course coordinator will also provide direct oversight.\n
• Handles related duties as assigned.\n
• Performs other duties as assigned\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university\n
• An unencumbered professional RN nursing license in Wyoming\n
• Illinois RN License will be required to teach all courses (course assignments prioritized to professors who are currently licensed in Illinois)\n
• Active BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network)\n
