About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Must-Have : Experience in triage, labor and delivery, and newborn care.

Description :

This position requires the nurse to float between triage, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.

Nurses will take care of both mothers and babies during the recovery phase.

Circulating experience in the operating room is preferred but not required, as designated personnel are available for this task.

The unit adheres to AWHONN guidelines for patient-to-nurse ratios.

There are dedicated staff members for managing high-acuity patients in the special care nursery.

Neonatal hospitalists are available but not on-site 24 / 7.

The hospital utilizes centralized fetal heart monitoring, and nurses are responsible for interpreting their own readings.

Patient care includes management of various conditions such as hypertension, preterm labor, and infections.

The environment promotes teamwork, and collaboration among staff is encouraged.

There is no requirement for on-call duty or standby shifts.

Nurses must be willing to contribute to the team's work culture and adaptability.

Charting is performed using electronic medical records software.

Shift rotation occurs every other weekend and holidays are shared with permanent staff.
