ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii.

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Work in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit with 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds

    • \n

  • Patient ratios : 1 : 4 for Progressive Care, 1 : 3 for step-down ICU

    • \n

  • Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation

    • \n

  • No guarantee of hours and no call responsibilities

    • \n

  • Must arrive Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday

    • \n

  • Provide primary nursing care with telemetry monitoring and strip reading

    • \n

  • Perform fingerstick blood sugar testing

    • \n

  • Work with Meditech charting system and Pyxis medication dispensing

    • \n

  • Utilize BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment

    • \n

  • Float to all acute units including Medical, Surgical / Pediatrics, ICU, and ER

    • \n

  • Minimum 1 year hospital acute care experience within the last year required

    • \n

  • Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred

    • \n

  • Hawaii state nursing license required by start of assignment

    • \n

  • ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications preferred

    • \n

  • Scrubs dress code required
