Position Overview:
Providing functional direction to clinicians and office activities by offering input to technical procedural guidelines, and acting as a resource for lab personnel. Supervises the activities in the absence of the manager. Provides treatment, management, diagnostic testing, control, education, and care of patients with sleep and wake disorders. Analyzes, monitors, and records physiologic data during sleep and wakefulness to assist in the treatment of disorders, syndromes, and dysfunctions that are sleep-related, manifest during sleep, or disrupt normal sleep activities. Provides therapeutic and diagnostic use of oxygen, the use of positive airway pressure including continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and bilevel modalities, adaptive servoventilation, and maintenance of nasal and oral airways that do not extend into the trachea.Job Description :

Meets Medical Board of California requirements for PSGT licensees or meets Respiratory Care Board of California requirements for respiratory care practitioner program for RCP licensees
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
PSGT-Polysomnographic Technologist from Medical Board of California
OR RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
8 years of recent experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of basic management principles and methods.
Advanced understanding of computers and digital networks for digital data analysis and trouble shooting computer malfunctions. Proficiency in Polysomnography Scoring and teambuilding.
Knowledge of human anatomy, cardio-respiratory function, neurophysiology and neurology.
Understanding of physics, medical electronics, in-depth medical terminology, with emphasis on pulmonology, neurology, and sleep-related pharmacology.

Pay Range is $49.68 to $62.09 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
