Salary Range : $26.00 - $41.50

Department Details

This position will be covering a leave of absence with increased hours available from October 2025 to January 2026. After this period, we hope to retain this dietitian as a PRN inpatient float and potentially for outpatient assistance based on coverage needs.

Job Summary

The Inpatient Dietitian will :

  • Plan, develop, and provide nutrition interventions, medical nutrition therapy, and preventive counseling to individuals and groups across various settings including acute care and community.
  • Monitor nutritional care for clients / patients / residents of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments and create individualized care plans based on provider orders, implementing nutrition therapy including diet modifications and oral nutrition supplements.
  • Educate and counsel patients on diet management related to disease states and health risks.
  • Utilize evidence-based approaches to evaluate treatment effectiveness and maintain high standards of care.
  • Incorporate new trends and techniques into care plans and educational materials.
  • Engage in clinical performance improvement activities, including research to enhance treatment methods.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess :

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in dietetics or food and nutrition from an ACEND-accredited program. Note that after January 1, 2024, a master's degree will be required to qualify.
  • Clinical nutrition experience through an approved undergraduate program or completion of a post-graduate internship.
  • A current Registered Dietitian (RD) license within the applicable state(s).
  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • For applicable states, proof of a temporary or limited permit nutritionist license will be accepted for registry-eligible individuals awaiting their CDR exam.
