M&J Engineering is seeking a Senior Inspector with experience in FDOT and CEI in South Florida. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys turning knowledge into action. We are looking for a highly experienced professional responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet the FDOT plans, specifications, and codes.

Responsibilities

Inspection of construction work : Ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.

Coordination and management of inspectors : Supervising and directing junior inspectors.

Maintenance of records : Keeping detailed records of daily operations and significant events.

Supervision of Traffic Control in the Work Zone : Ensuring compliance with the FDOT Traffic Control Plan.

Inspection of materials : Verifying that the materials entering the project meet the project requirements.

Conducting inspections : Carrying out field inspections and maintaining records.

Technical assignments : Field topography and construction layout, marking and verification of engineering calculations, inspection of construction works, and field testing.

Construction Project Administration Manual : Compliance and knowledge of the Construction Project Administration Manual (CPAM).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years or more of relevant experience; or demonstrated equivalent experience and / or education in road construction or bridge construction.

Valid U.S. drivers license.
