Backend Blockchain Developer (EVM + dApp + React.js)

Location : Covington, Louisiana (On-site)

Company : Blockmedia LLC

Compensation : $120,000 $150,000 / year + Relocation Package + Health Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) after 90 days + Gym Membership

Our team thrives on innovation, creativity, and engineering excellence. As we scale up, were seeking a highly skilled Backend Blockchain Developer to architect, build, and maintain decentralized systems that will power the future of web3.

Job Description :

As a Backend Blockchain Developer at Blockmedia, youll be responsible for designing and deploying secure and efficient smart contracts, integrating blockchain data with off-chain infrastructure, and collaborating with frontend teams (React.js) to deliver seamless dApp experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Architect, write, and deploy smart contracts (Solidity) for Ethereum and EVM-compatible blockchains
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate smart contracts into React.js-based user interfaces
  • Develop, test, and maintain dApps with a focus on scalability, gas optimization, and security
  • Build and manage decentralized storage and messaging protocols (e.g., IPFS, The Graph, Whisper)
  • Integrate APIs, oracles (Chainlink, Band), and cross-chain bridges
  • Write and maintain robust unit, integration, and fuzzing tests
  • Conduct audits, peer reviews, and optimize on-chain logic
  • Participate in agile sprints, code reviews, and R&D for future innovations

Required Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of experience in Solidity and smart contract development
  • MUST be location in or around the greater Covington, Louisiana area, or nearby enough to re-locate quickly
  • Strong understanding of Ethereum and EVM architecture
  • Proficiency in React.js and JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Deep understanding of blockchain data structures, transactions, and cryptography
  • Experience with tools like Hardhat, Foundry, Ethers.js, and Web3.js
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, REST APIs, and websocket integration
  • Experience deploying contracts to testnets and mainnets (e.g., Goerli, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism)
  • Strong knowledge of Git, CI / CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker)
  • Demonstrated ability to write secure, gas-efficient code with audit-level quality

    • Preferred (Bonus) Skills :

  • Knowledge of ZK-rollups, Layer-2s, or Cosmos SDK
  • Experience with decentralized identity (DID), DAO tooling, or DeFi protocols
  • Familiarity with IPFS, Filecoin, or other decentralized storage systems
  • Rust or Vyper knowledge
  • Background in cryptographic algorithms or zero-knowledge proofs
