Commercial Litigation Associate (3-7 Years) — Southwest Florida
Location : Naples–Fort Myers Metro (Lee & Collier Counties)
Work Style : Frequent in-person court appearances ; hybrid office / remote work possible between hearings
About the Opportunity
A nationally recognized law firm ???? (name withheld for confidentiality) seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its high-performing Financial Services & Capital Markets team. You’ll manage a sophisticated litigation docket across state, federal, and arbitral forums—while enjoying direct courtroom exposure and strong mentorship in one of Florida’s fastest-growing legal markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent regional and national clients in complex business, financial-services, and construction-related disputes
- Oversee all phases of litigation : case investigation, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and trial prep
- Argue dispositive and procedural motions in state and federal courts; attend frequent hearings in Lee & Collier counties
- Draft strategic memoranda, briefs, and client reports with minimal supervision
- Partner with senior attorneys on trial and arbitration strategy; second-chair opportunities available
- Maintain and nurture client relationships through proactive communication and practical advice
Ideal Candidate Profile
3-7 years’ commercial litigation experience (5-7 yrs strongly preferred)Active Florida Bar license and current practice base in Lee or Collier County (or strong ties and an immediate relocation plan)Proven courtroom advocacy—hearings, oral arguments, or second-chair trial exposureExperience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice in state and federal courtsBonus points for :Construction litigation or lien-law familiarityArbitration or administrative-proceeding experienceFederal judicial clerkshipStellar academic credentials, concise writing style, sound judgment, and the ability to juggle multiple matters under tight deadlinesTeam-oriented mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit; commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiativesWhat’s in It for You
