Market Technology Team Director

This position is based in Austin, TX and operates on a Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities include :

  • Portfolio Management : Articulate and guide the development of long-term goals and initiatives that foster the ministry's growth trajectory. Develop a mechanism for tracking initiative health and proactively identify risks requiring attention.
  • Governance : Defines and oversees demand management expectations for the team and partners. This includes working with market executives to establish and maintain a robust Market Governance process that ensures all technology requests are strategically aligned, properly vetted, and prioritized.
  • Escalations and Problem Resolution : Serves as the primary point within the market for partners and team members to escalate technology problems with both projects and routine operations. Skilled in independently assessing the issue and owning the engagement of the appropriate stakeholders to overcome.
  • Expert Advising : Shape and influence market partners' strategic technology decisions through expert guidance, persuasion, and negotiation. The Director fosters a culture of collaborative decision-making, where market partners are empowered to make informed choices, while also skillfully navigating resistance and setting boundaries without directly rejecting ideas.
  • Servant Leadership : Leading, guiding, giving feedback with influence and ownership without direct reporting structure of associates. Collaborating with other leaders to meet customer expectations.
  • Relationship Management (market) : Develop and maintain strong relationships with market leaders at various levels resulting in a dynamic where the partners consider the Director their primary point of contact for technology interests and challenges.
  • Team Culture : Building a strong, cohesive culture between a ministry and across the towers within Ascension Technology. Ensure approaches her work as problem solvers (versus problem admiration) - and approaches her work in a way that demonstrates a "We" culture with her AT colleagues.

Skills required include leadership, communication, strategic thinking, problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, multi-tasking, and self-direction.

Education requirements include a high school diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership / management OR an associate's degree / bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership / management.

Additional preferences include 7+ years of information technology experience (10+ years preferred), 5+ years of leadership / management experience preferred, and a bachelor's degree or master's degree preferred.
