Join our team as a valued Experienced Tax Consultant and inspire clients to make confident, informed financial decisions. At H&R Block, you'll nurture client relationships that strengthen over the years.

As a seasonal Tax Professional, you'll assist clients with a variety of tax needs while receiving robust training and support from our expert team, ensuring your success in this role.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Conduct thorough tax interviews with clients, both in-person and virtually through video, phone, chat, and email.
  • Prepare complete and accurate tax returns to meet clients' diverse needs.
  • Drive business growth, enhance client retention, and recommend additional products and services.
  • Support clients with IRS inquiries.

All certification levels can provide standard tax notice services.

  • Circular 230 associates can offer audit representation.
  • Mentor and assist fellow team members to foster a collaborative work environment.

    • Your Qualifications :

  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
  • Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax preparation.
  • Proficient in completing individual tax returns.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable utilizing virtual tools for communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Completion of continuing education and adherence to IRS and state requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education is preferred.

    • Preferred Skills :

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
  • Experience in preparing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
  • 5+ years of experience in the accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax fields.
  • Experience with virtual tax interviews.
  • Knowledge in tax planning and audit support.
  • Sales and marketing experience would be beneficial.

    • Note : Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment does not guarantee employment.

    Pay Range : $18.00 - $35.00 / Hr.

    This position is subject to local minimum wage laws. Pay decisions will be based on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Successful candidates may participate in incentive compensation plans and other benefits, including medical coverage, a 401(k) plan, and tax prep benefits.
