Responsibilities Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting Patient population includes laboring women and postpartum / couplet care Nurse-patient ratios are 1 : 2 for labor and 1 : 8 for postpartum / couplets Night shifts are 12 hours, scheduled 3 times per week from 18 : 45 to 07 : 15 Floating is required according to clinical experience and unit needs On-call required for 2 shifts per 6-week schedule period Weekend work required every other weekend or two weekends per month Uses Cerner charting system; experience preferred but not required Must be able to float in accordance with organizational policy and receive appropriate orientation Travelers cannot return to the same campus as previous perm staff within 24 months; may return to other campuses after 12 months No major holiday or surrounding day RTO requests accommodated; holiday RTO can be addressed onsite with manager Blocked scheduling requests are not permitted Modules are required during orientation and annually, completed via the facility's internal system Related or married travel teams may not work on the same unit Local candidates are accepted at a lower rate and must reside outside a 75-mile radius for travel rate eligibility Requirements Active TN or compact state RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of current Labor and Delivery RN experience required Current certifications : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN, and NIHSS Previous travel nursing experience required for all specialties Licenses and certifications must not expire within 45 days of start date Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614080.
