Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant- Harleysville, PA

Peaceful Living is seeking a Senior Accountant in our Finance Department. The Senior Accountant ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the accounting data and provides executive team with the financial information required to make informed decisions.

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for daily operations of finance department and supervision of the Accounts Specialist and Accounting Clerk
• Works collaboratively with vendors as well as other internal and external stakeholders
• Oversees accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency and providing back up coverage, as needed
• Supports Human Resources department in review of payroll documentation and partnership with Finance Department,
• Oversees billing process and provides back up coverage, as needed
• Maintains accurate documentation in accordance with federal, state and regulatory guidelines
• Oversees and ensures reconciliation with Promise Billing / HCSIS
• Prepare bank reconciliation
• Prepare daily cash flow report for CFO / Executive Director
• Oversee client funds and petty cash, in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Prepare client funding documentation, as needed
• Ensures fiscal reconciliation of cash management
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis- including but not limited to cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable and research and resolve discrepancies
• Post month-end journal entries and bi-weekly payroll entries
• Prepare monthly financial reports and on-demand financial statements for senior management
• Assist with audit preparation
• Assist in Preparation, monitoring and analyzing of corporate budgets
• Prepare monthly budget reports to directors
• Attend meetings as requested

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY :

Supervises the Accounts Specialist and Accounts Clerk

Education / Experience :

Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or related field or a minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounting Leadership. Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks is essential, with a preference for knowledge of the desktop version.
