Join Curriculum Associates as a Professional Learning Specialist (Math) in the Bay Area, California. This is not a remote role; candidates must currently live in, be near, or be willing to relocate to the Bay Area.
Overview : Curriculum Associates believes in creating equitable classrooms and supports educators with world-class products and services. The Professional Learning Specialist will provide targeted professional development, ongoing in-classroom support, data analysis, daily project management, and communication with district and site leaders. This role focuses on Mathematics for grades K–8.
Responsibilities
- Provide targeted professional development and on-site support to teachers, coaches, and leaders
- Lead data analysis and use findings to inform instruction and implementation
- Coordinate daily project management and communications with district and site leaders
- Support district-wide adoptions and the implementation of Curriculum Associates products (Ready Mathematics, i-Ready Diagnostic and Instruction)
- Collaborate with district leaders and site leaders to develop and revise annual professional development plans and schedules
- Serve as a thought leader and represent Curriculum Associates with a mission-driven approach
- Attend company-provided educational conferences and participate in team-provided development when scheduling permits
- Stay current with role-related developments and adapt to new environments and challenges
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in teaching Mathematics, coaching Mathematics, or delivering Mathematics professional developmentFluency with digital tools, online assessments, and data discussions with teachers and leadersUnderstanding of adult learning principles and applying them to professional developmentAbility to manage, monitor, and evaluate program implementations with integrityAbility to provide high-quality classroom coaching to enable effective delivery of Curriculum Associates solutionsWillingness to travel within the designated territory and to company meetings several times per year (travel safe to do so)Strong working knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (K–8) or equivalent state standards, including content and practice standardsLocation, Travel, and Compensation
Location : Based in the Bay Area, CA; support districts throughout California.
