Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Specialist, who will develop and manage CDI services and ensure accurate clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement CDI standards, policies, and query guidelines aligned with best practices

Perform documentation reviews and audits to identify improvement opportunities

Collaborate with providers and coding teams to ensure accurate code assignment and risk adjustment capture

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in Clinical Documentation Integrity, Coding, or Clinical Validation

Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM / PCS, CPT / HCPCS, HCC, and DRG methodologies

Experience in both inpatient and outpatient CDI environments

Hands-on experience with query writing, provider education, and audit processes

Certifications preferred : AHIMA CDIP, ACDIS CCDS, CCDS-O
