Surgical Technologist

Pride Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist to support our client's medical facilities based in Houston, TX (77025 / 77055) and Spring, TX (77389). This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location : Houston, TX (77025 / 77055) & Spring, TX (77389)

Duration : 3 months Contract (Possibilities of extension)

Payrate : $28-31 / hr. On W2 / Pay Rate is based on experience.

Schedule : Mon - Fri 6 : 30 am to 3 pm (5 days / wk.)

Job Responsibilities :

Works in collaboration with the Registered Nurses to provide care of the surgical patient in the OR suite.

Contributes to the orientation of new surgical technicians. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as they relate to specific age groups.

This position is as needed to provide staffing for the ASC OR.

Maintains strict aseptic technique and sterile field throughout surgical procedures.

Prepares, organizes, and verifies surgical instruments and equipment for each case.

Assist surgeons by passing instruments, handling supplies, and performing scrub duties.

Prepares and transports patients, monitors vitals, and supports intraoperative care.

Decontaminates, sterilizes, and ensures proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment.

Assists with room setup, turnover, and maintaining a safe, organized surgical environment.

Functions as second assistant when needed and supports emergency procedures.

Qualifications :

Graduate from a surgical technology program that is CAAHEP or ABHES accredited.

Three years surgical tech experience.

Current, BLS Certification.

Surgical Technician Certification

Mastery of advanced Surgical Tech skills and extensive knowledge of at least one specialty service.
