Benefits Hybrid work flexibility (up to two days remote) Comprehensive health benefits plan Dental, Vision, and life insurance PTO package 401k Job Details We are seeking a driven Property Accountant to grow into a Property Accounting Manager that will support our client’s team in the real estate industry. This is a hybrid role, providing the flexibility of working both remotely and in the office. Responsibilities Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. Coordinate and direct the preparation of financial forecasts, reports, and statements. Perform cash forecasting, planning, and management to ensure the company’s financial stability. Review and analyze financial data to identify potential discrepancies and variances. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports detailing the company’s financial status. Collaborate with other departments to streamline and improve financial operations. Maintain financial management systems (Yardi, MRI, Real Page, TOPS, Entrata) to ensure efficient processing of financial transactions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, regulations, and standards. Develop and implement strategies for financial growth and sustainability. Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Engineering industry. Proven experience in real estate accounting, property accounting, and multi-family. Proficiency in financial management systems such as Yardi, MRI, Real Page, TOPS, and Entrata. Strong knowledge of financial forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail. Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Demonstrated leadership skills with a commitment to develop and motivate a team. Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CGA or CA) is a plus. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
