Our client, a major PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Services) entity owned by 20 non-profit health plans serving >

33 million members and benefits manager of government programs including Medicare and Medicaid, seeks an accomplished Certified Pharmacy Technician I (Remote - California Residents Only)

  • TITLE : Certified Pharmacy Technician I (Remote - California Residents Only)

LOCATION

100% REMOTE in California

DURATION

6 months contract with potential of extension

WORK SCHEDULE

5 days a week, need coverage Monday-Sunday (Start time varies between 8am to 12 : 30pm)

  • TRAINING :
  • The training hours would be M-F 8 : 30am-5pm for 4 weeks (Training usually takes about a month to complete)

    Pay Rate : $22.00 / hr on W2.

    MUST HAVE :

  • Active CA State Pharmacy Tech License.
  • Quiet, distraction-free home office setup.
  • Secure, hard-wired internet connection (LAN cable provided – Wi-Fi is not permitted due to PHI regulations
  • Camera required during training and team meetings.
  • No time off is allowed during the first 4 weeks of training.
  • JOB DESCRIPTION :

  • Evaluate and process prior authorization (PA) pharmacy requests via phone / fax based on established criteria.
  • Communicate decisions to physicians, pharmacists, and office staff.
  • Research and resolve PA outcomes, document in the pharmacy system.
  • Educate members on medication guidelines and assistance programs.
  • Escalate cases require in-depth clinical review to pharmacists.
  • Manage records of PAs, grievances, appeals, and monthly reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare standards.
  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience , including 6+ months handling prior authorizations
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software systems, MS Office Suite, and Windows-based applications
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow clinical guidelines accurately
