Bookkeeper | Portage, MI Salary Range: $48,000 - $69,000 depending on experience Are you ready to take on a challenging and rewarding opportunity in {{role_field}}? The Opportunity We are partnering with organizations in Portage that are seeking Bookkeepers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities Record and categorize all financial transactions, including those related to manufacturing costs. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing. Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations. Process payroll and maintain accurate employee compensation records. Maintain and update the general ledger for all financial activities. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and financial reporting. Track and reconcile inventory movements and associated production costs. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and/or ERP systems common in manufacturing. Solid understanding of cost of goods sold, inventory valuation, and job costing principles. Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate financial statements and management reports. Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills for record-keeping. Bonus Qualifications Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) Familiarity with inventory costing methods (WIP, LIFO/FIFO) Prior experience assisting with financial audits in a manufacturing setting Exposure to cost analysis or variance reporting Job Titles That Should Apply Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant, Accounting Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Clerk, Payroll Clerk, Financial Clerk, Junior Bookkeeper Why Pivot Group The Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
