Operations Manager | Charlotte, MI Salary Range: $106,000 - $154,000 depending on experience Are you a meticulous professional with a passion for optimizing business operations and driving organizational success? The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Charlotte region seeking Operations Managers. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets and quality standards are met. Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to optimize processes and reduce waste. Manage production scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory levels for maximum efficiency. Develop, mentor, and manage a team of production supervisors and manufacturing staff. Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and maintain a safe, compliant working environment. Monitor operational budgets, analyze variances, and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality departments to streamline operations and resolve issues. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in a manufacturing operations leadership role. Demonstrated expertise in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing production teams. Proficiency in production planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimization. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and safety regulations. Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) Experience managing operations in a unionized manufacturing environment Familiarity with automation technologies and Industry 4.0 principles Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Job Titles That Should Apply Operations Manager, Director of Operations, Head of Operations, General Manager, Business Operations Manager, Senior Operations Manager, Operations Lead, Operations Director, Chief Operating Officer Why Pivot Group The Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
