Quality Technician | Caledonia, MI Salary Range: $47,000 - $70,000 depending on experience Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for inspection, testing, and ensuring product quality? We partner with leading manufacturing companies in Caledonia, seeking experienced Quality Technicians to strengthen their teams. The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Caledonia that are seeking skilled Quality Technicians. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to specifications. Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions accurately in quality records and databases. Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate containment and disposition processes. Maintain and verify the calibration status of measurement and test equipment used in manufacturing. Assist in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for quality defects and customer complaints. Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and tolerances. Collaborate with production teams to implement and monitor quality control procedures and standards on the manufacturing floor. Recommended Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical discipline preferred. 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role. Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpreting technical drawings. Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles. Ability to document non-conformances, perform basic root cause analysis, and support corrective actions. Bonus Qualifications Lean/Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification Experience with CMM programming Familiarity with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex) Internal auditing experience (e.g., ISO 9001) Job Titles That Should Apply Quality Control Technician, Quality Assurance Technician, QC Technician, QA Technician, Quality Inspector, Manufacturing Quality Technician, Production Quality Technician Why Pivot Group The Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
