Mechanic | Grand Haven, MI Salary Range: $45,000 - $76,000 depending on experience Are you a forward-thinking professional with a passion for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems? The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Grand Haven seeking experienced Mechanics. Key Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, breakdowns, and operational issues. Execute repairs, adjustments, and replacements of faulty components and parts. Install, commission, and test new manufacturing machinery and systems. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial mechanical systems (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission). Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with preventative maintenance programs. Commitment to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Bonus Qualifications PLC troubleshooting experience Welding and fabrication skills (e.g., MIG, TIG) Experience with CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo) Hydraulic and pneumatic system diagnostics and repair Job Titles That Should Apply Automotive Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician, Service Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Auto Repair Technician, Fleet Mechanic Why Pivot Group The Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
