Responsibilities – Commercial Real Estate Manage tax compliance and tax advisory engagements in the Commercial Real Estate Industry group. Determine resource requirements and work with a team to ensure exceptional client service. Manage expectations with team members and monitor engagement progress. Review partnership and corporate tax returns and ensure accuracy and completeness. Research tax issues and filing requirements that affect tax compliance. Research complex tax issues using internal revenue code, treasury regulations, and other relevant authorities/guidance. Draft tax technical memorandums and share knowledge to develop team members. Identify opportunities to expand the scope of current engagements through identification of current client needs and target client requirements. Actively participate in proposal development, at the direction of management, and take a lead role responding to requests for proposal. Demonstrate initiative, vision, resourcefulness, creativity, and independent thinking. Lead by example. Relevant tax experience within the real estate industry preferred. 2+ years of managerial experience. Strong tax research skills. Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills, as well as exceptional client service skills. Proven competence with MS Office and tax compliance and research software, including ProSystem, CCH Axcess and CCH Engagement. Solid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi‑task. Experience – NYC Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s in Accounting/Taxation preferred. CPA, JD, or EA required. Minimum of 6 years of relevant tax experience within the real estate industry. 2+ years of managerial experience. Strong tax research skills. Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills, as well as exceptional client service skills. Proven competence with MS Office and tax compliance and research software, including ProSystem, CCH Axcess and CCH Engagement.
