Now Hiring : Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist – On-Site in Evansville, IN

Schedule Options :

  • 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM CST
  • 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM CST
  • Includes two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch
  • Pay Range : $16.00 – $17.50 / hour
  • Employment Type : Full-Time | Long-Term Contract

About the Role

Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist , where you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate and organized medical records. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about supporting healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, scan, index, and retrieve medical documents with precision.
  • Reconcile accounts and manage document workflows.
  • Answer phones and assist with general HIM-related inquiries.
  • Perform quality reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite and internal systems to manage records.

    • Qualifications

  • Education / Experience : Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years of experience in medical records.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Word.
  • Attention to Detail : Ability to organize documents sequentially and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    • Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.50 / hr.
