Job Purpose

Provide proactive support to the Field Operations Director by being a visible leader dedicated to safety, quality, and operational performance. The Regional Manager builds and leads a high-performing regional team that delivers safe, reliable, and efficient service across multiple utility-scale solar sites.

Key Behaviors

As a senior field leader, the Regional Manager is expected to consistently demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and managerial control over safety, quality, operational performance, training, and standard operating costs. They must exemplify the organization's vision, values, and behavioral expectations. While not the primary technical expert in the region, the Regional Manager is fully accountable for the performance of all site leaders and field operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model the desired culture and behaviors, embedding key safety principles across the region.
  • Be visible in the region with a regular proactive schedule of site visits and conduct regular meetings and required workshops with all supervisors and plant managers.
  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance for all personnel and subcontractors in alignment with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure that site-level audits and field visits happen on a regular basis and that all observations are properly actioned, ensuring timely resolution of identified issues in collaboration with EHS.
  • Support implementation and compliance with training programs; monitor field readiness and ensure training is completed before technicians are assigned field work.
  • Coach and mentor Plant Managers and Site Supervisors, supporting their development as leaders and operational managers.
  • Provide oversight for regional preventive and corrective maintenance execution and ensure proper documentation and system updates are maintained.
  • Oversee onboarding and operational readiness of new sites, coordinating with internal teams to ensure materials, staffing, and systems are in place.
  • Lead regular performance and operational reviews; ensure alignment of regional activities with broader company objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records across all systems, including FSM and proactively track work orders to meet KPI's. Additionally ensure a proactive inventory of parts and tools are kept across the region.
  • Manage regional O&M staffing, labor tracking, and support personnel development, performance conversations, and succession planning and ensure site leaders are equipped to manage day-to-day operations effectively
  • Oversee regional operating costs, supporting financial discipline and efficient use of resources.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, vendors, and third parties in the region.
  • Represent the company externally as needed, including in professional settings and industry engagements.

Preferred Qualifications and Minimum Experience Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in Operations and Maintenance of energy facilities; utility-scale solar experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical, O&M, or engineering-related fields.
  • Proven experience managing large teams and multiple large-scale facilities or remote field locations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SAP, Salesforce, and solar enterprise O&M platforms.
  • Training in Root Cause Analysis, Lean, or other continuous improvement tools preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and contract management.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50%.
