Job description
As part of the acoustic design and development team, works in different phases of product development to create the best possible user experience from an audio perspective. Conducts frequency, distortion, impedance, and polar measurements, evaluates results for product benchmarking, and measures electronics for distortion and transfer functions. Creates, follows, and categorizes testing procedure data, publishes a searchable database for benchmarking measurement data written in Python, and prototypes and evaluates new audio technologies. Analyzes and draws conclusions based on test results and measurements, characterizes acoustic and mechanical transfer, creates a web-based searchable database for benchmarking measurement data, and tracks laboratory inventory to stock cables, tools, and test equipment. Validates through acoustic measurements and user studies to drive product specifications and support feature implementation, and collaborates with cross-functional teams including software, hardware integration, and user interaction.

Salary: $148,200.00 to $153,840.00 per year.
Basic qualifications
Education: Bachelor – Acoustics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Sound and Image Engineering or a related technical field of study; will accept equivalent of foreign degree.
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, Acoustics Engineer or in a related engineering role;
Experience must include:
1. Audio Precision, Listen including Soundcheck, Klippel (KA3, SCN, and NFS), BK HATS, oscilloscope, and multimeters;
2. High Level programing language including MATLAB, Python and Max; and
3. Audio and Acoustics hardware testing.
