Job Title Physical Therapist Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment in Johnston, Rhode Island. This role involves providing comprehensive physical therapy services to a diverse patient population, focusing on restoring function, reducing pain, and preventing disability. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through individualized treatment plans and collaborative team efforts. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on patient recovery and well-being. Key Responsibilities Assess patient conditions, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices. Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and various modalities to improve mobility, strength, and function. Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and adaptive equipment use. Document patient progress accurately and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care. Required Qualifications Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Rhode Island. Minimum of 1-2 years of recent, relevant experience as a Physical Therapist in a clinical setting. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in a wide range of therapeutic modalities, exercise techniques, and rehabilitation equipment. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an integral part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a commitment to continuous professional development. Shift Details Shift Type: Flexible, Rotating Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts Days per Week: 5 days Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: August 5, 2026 Call Requirements: Not specified.
