RTR Pilates is a place to thrive, join us!We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Pilates Reformer Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and longevity of our equipment. This role is critical in supporting our high-end studio environment by keeping apparatus in peak condition, minimizing downtime, and protecting the client experience. Ideal for a mechanically skilled problem-solver, this position blends technical expertise with a passion for maintaining excellence in a client-focused wellness space.Major Roles:Equipment Maintenance & RepairConduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on reformers and other Pilates apparatus.Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to determine the root cause of malfunctions.Repair and replace worn or broken components, including springs, pulleys, ropes, straps, and upholstery.Assemble and install new Pilates equipment according to manufacturer specifications.Studio Operations SupportMaintain a detailed log of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replaced.Manage inventory of spare parts and order replacements to ensure timely repairs.Partner with Operations and Studio Management to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to classes.Perform minor cosmetic repairs (e.g., touch-up paint, upholstery fixes) to maintain a polished studio appearance.Ensure all equipment is clean, sanitized, and client-ready at all times.Safety & ComplianceStrictly adhere to safety policies and manufacturer guidelines.Identify and address hazards immediately to ensure client and staff safety.Uphold the highest standards of performance and compliance across all equipment.RequirementsRequirements:Proven experience in a mechanical or maintenance role; fitness or Pilates equipment experience preferred.Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment.Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy equipment (up to 184 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and walking.Strong organizational and time-management skills with a proactive approach to preventive care.Excellent communication and customer service skills when working with staff and management.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Availability to work nights and weekends.Valid U.S. driver's license and proof of insurance.Effective English communication skills, written and verbal.Traits & Characteristics:Detail-Oriented:Strong focus on precision and preventive care to keep equipment operating at peak performance.Problem-Solver:Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues with a solutions-first mindset.Reliable & Accountable:Consistently meets deadlines, maintains accurate logs, and follows through on commitments.Safety-Minded:Prioritizes the well-being of clients and staff by addressing risks and adhering to compliance standards.Collaborative:Works well with Operations and Studio teams to minimize disruptions and support the client experience.Adaptable:Thrives in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities; comfortable adjusting schedules and approaches as needed.Hands-On & Resourceful:Comfortable with both mechanical work and light cosmetic repairs that enhance studio presentation.Compensation:$25.00/hrSalary Description$25.00/hr
