Position Summary Assistant Baseball/Pitching Coach – part‑time .40 FTE, 9‑month position in Athletics Department, reports to Head Baseball Coach. Responsibilities Recruit prospective student‑athletes, research, scout, evaluate, and contact them within NAIA guidelines. Assist Head Coach in designing, conducting, and monitoring training activities, including competition, practice, and conditioning. Evaluate performance of student‑athletes and provide leadership during sessions. Help develop game plans and strategies, and coordinate game‑day activities (practices, meals, travel, lodging). Participate in public relations and fundraising activities, including interviews and representation at events. Assist with scheduling, facility use, and camp operations. Cooperate with other coaches and staff to enhance department operation. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. At least one year of collegiate baseball playing or coaching experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Commitment to compliance with institutional, conference, and NAIA rules. First Aid/CPR certified. Mental Health First Aid Training. Valid driver’s license with clean record. Successful completion of EOU criminal and credential background check. Compliance with federal work‑eligibility verification; EOU does not sponsor visas. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations.
