Near North is looking for a Residential Escrow Officer / Closer to organize and review real estate agreements, complete the legal requirements for a transaction in a timely manner and conduct closings, while providing the utmost level of service to our clients. We provide a collaborative, energetic, team environment. Our company is a growing title insurance operation with multi-state market presence and national outreach. Key responsibilities As the Residential Escrow Officer / Closer, you will be a fundamental component of the closing process and represent our company in a professional and accommodating manner. You will establish positive relationships with all parties, verify that property titles are clear, all financial obligations have been met, and that all terms and materials are accurate and in compliance with applicable regulations. Conduct real estate closings in a professional, timely and accurate manner. Request, review and prepare real estate closing documents. Ensure timely submission, accurate recording and execution of all files. Comply with escrow terms for each closing. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Calculate taxes, interests, insurance and other expenses. Receive and disperse escrow funds. Enter and manage data with SoftPro system. Support and collaborate with other Escrow Officers/Closers. What you bring to the table 2+ years of escrow or real estate closing experience. College degree preferred. Title insurance experience preferred. SoftPro experience a plus. Superior customer service, organization and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Willingness and ability to travel to other offices for closing, if necessary. Why work for us?
