Learning & Onboarding Specialist
The Learning & Onboarding Specialist is responsible for delivering and continuously improving the onboarding and learning experience across BGBx. This role owns onboarding operations, coordinates enterprise learning programs, administers learning systems, and partners across the business to ensure employees receive a consistent, engaging, and effective introduction to BGBx while building the knowledge and connections needed to succeed. Working closely with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and subject matter experts, the Learning & Onboarding Specialist helps employees connect to our culture, understand our business, and continue their professional development throughout their career journey.
Responsibilities include managing the enterprise onboarding experience across BGBx, leading the end-to-end preboarding and onboarding process, serving as the primary liaison between Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, hiring managers, and new hires throughout the onboarding experience, maintaining and continuously improving onboarding standards, processes, resources, tools, and communications, and partnering with HR and business leaders to ensure onboarding content reflects current organizational priorities, business objectives, structure, and operating practices.
Additionally, the Learning & Onboarding Specialist manages and continuously evolves START Class, coordinates and facilitates START Class programming and participant communications, manages schedules, logistics, enrollment, and onboarding communications, partners with presenters, facilitators, and executive leaders to deliver engaging learning experiences, maintains a network of onboarding facilitators across the organization, ensures content reflects the BGBx strategy, culture, values, and operating model, delivers a consistent onboarding experience while reinforcing the unique identities of our divisions and practices, and gathers participant feedback, analyzes outcomes, and implements continuous improvements.
The role also involves administering Docebo and other learning technologies that support onboarding, compliance, and employee development, coordinating required training, compliance programs, and enterprise learning initiatives, managing learning logistics, enrollment processes, communications, and completion tracking, maintaining learning calendars, schedules, and program documentation, analyzing participation and effectiveness data and providing insights to improve onboarding and learning outcomes, preparing reports and dashboards related to onboarding and learning performance, supporting manager and employee development programs, maintaining learning resources and ensuring content remains current, accessible, and aligned with business needs, developing and continuously enhancing onboarding and learning curriculum, partnering with subject matter experts to create engaging, learner-centered content that supports business priorities and employee development, and supporting enterprise-wide learning initiatives, process improvements, and special projects.
The Learning & Onboarding Specialist embeds BGBx values, culture, and ways of working throughout the onboarding experience, facilitates onboarding, culture, and employee experience sessions, creates opportunities for new hires to build meaningful connections across the organization, supports employee engagement, culture, and learning initiatives as needed, and helps employees understand how Communications and Consulting work together to serve clients and drive business success.
Qualifications include 3-5 years of experience in onboarding, learning and development, talent management, employee experience, human resources, or a related field, experience managing or coordinating employee programs, learning initiatives, or development activities, experience designing, developing, or enhancing onboarding and learning curriculum, strong project management and organizational skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously, experience partnering across business units and functional teams, and experience in a professional services, consulting, agency, healthcare communications, or other fast-paced environment preferred.
Skills include onboarding and learning program administration, learning management system administration (Docebo preferred), program management and operational execution, facilitation and presentation skills, strong communication and stakeholder management, data tracking, reporting, and analysis, strong organization and attention to detail, continuous improvement mindset, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrixed environment.
Success looks like delivering a consistent, scalable onboarding experience across BGBx, successfully administering and enhancing the enterprise onboarding framework, delivering a high-quality, engaging START Class experience, establishing standardized onboarding journeys across Communications and Consulting, implementing onboarding metrics, feedback mechanisms, and reporting processes, improving new hire engagement and speed to productivity, ensuring effective administration of required training and learning programs, strengthening employee understanding of the BGBx strategy, culture, values, and operating model, and building scalable learning operations that support future growth and development initiatives.
