Competitive salary commensurate with experience 100% Company-paid Health Benefits 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs Additional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies Reads and interprets blueprints and job-related documents Records daily events in job diary Schedules materials, equipment, and work for the crew Analyzes crew SIPs to create site SIPs Obtains quantities from crews and prepares for billing process with PM Analyzes cost reports for production adjustments Accurately codes and controls onsite costs Conducts site meetings Attends job turnover meetings Communicates goals and purposes effectively Leads by example Influences and enforces company values, recognizes misalignments, and ensures compliance Understands and anticipates customer’s needs Understands business practices within the organization and the importance of repeat business Communicates with customer representatives and represents the company professionally Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Skills, Education, and Experience PennDot road construction experience Strong Verbal and Written Communications skills Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, and the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry Basic computer skills including internet, email, and documentation using digital cameras Demonstrated leadership Demonstrated dependability and punctuality Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job) Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience Two years of relevant PennDot road construction experience Supervisory or crew foreman experience OSHA or other relevant safety certifications Physical Demands Regularly required to: Stand and walk Use hands to finger, handle, feel Reach with hands and arms Talk or hear Climb, balance, crawl, stoop, crouch, kneel, Occasionally required to sit Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities: Close Distance Color Peripheral Depth Perception Ability to adjust focus Work Environment Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions Occasionally exposed to: Moving mechanical parts Fumes or airborne particles Noise level is usually moderate The H&K Group, Inc. provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency, and value.
