About The Hiring Team Business Development Department is dedicated to fostering connections between Tencent and top‑tier game developers worldwide, catering to a diverse network of over 100 global investment partners and developers. Our primary objective is to enhance Tencent's global presence in the internet ecosystem and the gaming sector, identifying business prospects and supporting investment partners in achieving sustainable growth. What The Role Entails As a Strategic Investment Manager, you will: Work directly with senior management across global and domestic games markets. Lead projects related to our business development independently. Evaluate global gaming investment and BD opportunities. Drive the development of new opportunities and incubate new businesses. Work in a team with high‑caliber executives previously from top‑tier consultancy firms and investment banks. Support decision‑making for executives and leaders of business groups. Provide game‑changing strategy and inspire out‑of‑the‑box thinking to senior leaders. Plan and manage business incubation, drive product innovation and new partnerships, develop and execute go‑to‑market plans. Make key investment decisions. Monitor domestic and global game market and identify emerging industry/technology trends. Who We Look For Have around 5 years of work experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, PE/VC and related Internet industry. Demonstrate strategic vision, business insights and in‑depth knowledge of the gaming / media / entertainment industry and other related markets (preferably a gamer). Ability to interpret data and identify emerging market trends and business opportunities. Must be a self‑starter, comfortable with uncertainty, and able to drive to answers through disciplined work while also collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Are effective team players with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional proficiency with MS Excel & PowerPoint; working knowledge of statistics and analysis packages. Have an entrepreneurial spirit. Location US-California-Los Angeles, US-California-Palo Alto, US-New York State-New York Compensation & Benefits The expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $84,200.00 to $253,400.00 per year. Actual pay may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Employees may be eligible for a sign‑on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units, and may also receive medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits, participation in the Company’s 401(k) plan, up to 15–25 days of vacation per year, up to 13 days of holidays per year, and up to 10 days of paid sick leave per year. Benefits may be adjusted to reflect location, employment status, and position level, and may be pro‑rated for those who start during the calendar year.
