Full-Time Dental Front Desk Receptionist – Join Our Friendly Team at William S Wong DDS in Santa Monica, CA

We’re looking for a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to be the friendly face and organizational backbone of our office.
As the Dental Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing essential administrative functions. Your role is crucial in maintaining smooth office operations, verifying insurance information, scheduling appointments, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Greet patients and visitors warmly, delivering excellent customer service and support.
Manage multi-line phone system: answer calls, direct inquiries, and take accurate messages.
Perform insurance verification to confirm patient coverage and assist with billing accuracy.
Schedule and manage appointments, optimizing the front desk calendar for efficiency.
Maintain and organize patient medical records, ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Review documentation for accuracy prior to filing or processing.
Utilize Athenahealth software for patient management and record-keeping tasks.
Assist with general office management duties to support smooth daily operations.
Facilitate communication between patients and dental staff to enhance workflow.
Previous experience as a Front Desk Receptionist or in a similar role, ideally within a dental or medical office.
Proficiency with insurance verification processes and medical office management.
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
Computer literacy, including data entry and use of office equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective patient and team interaction.
Familiarity with Athenahealth software preferred.
Experience with SoftDent software a plus but not mandatory.
Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced front desk environment efficiently.
