Legend Valve is headquartered in Auburn Hills Michigan with locations in Reno Nevada and Stafford TX.SUMMARYThe Lead Shipping Associate will assist in the day-to-day operations of picking packing and shipping orders to customers in a timely and safe manner.IN THIS ROLE THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL Ensure customer orders are completing in a timely fashion. Greet customers in a quick and friendly manner Coordinate order printing and delegation of the priority orders Ensure all orders are released to the warehouse efficiently to meet cutoff times Coordinate with internal customer service group via phone and email to expedite order changes Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information as well as other company data including personnel information Use provided reports to work with shift supervisors to ensure service guarantees are met consistently Any additional duties assigned by managementHousekeeping: Ensure neat clean and organized personal work area Ensure neat clean and organized shipping are Ensure neat clean and organized picking areas Monitor and direct planned weekly cleaning of the aisles Any additional duties assigned by managementLabor Management: Monitor order volume and ensure efficient distribution for picking Develop and implement work schedules and assignments to ensure efficient operation Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising coaching and disciplining employeesBackorders: Coordinate same-day backorder shipment for all orders released prior to 5pmShipping: Coordinate standard and special pickups with small parcel carrier Coordinate standard and special pickups with LTL carrier Submit freight claims with both small parcel and LTL carriers Ensure priority processing of will-call orders Manage customer-specific shipping requirements to ensure compliance including retail shipmentsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESWarehouse shipping team (M-F 7am-3:30pm)THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONSAny combination of education and/or experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.
