Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Brick, NJ 08724 Position Type: Full Time 36 Hours Salary Range: $40.00 - $54.25 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Varies Job Category: Health Care AMI is seeking a Full time, 36 hour per week MRI Technologist to join the team in the AMI Brick, Wall, and Toms River office locations. This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient Radiology practice! Rates increase based on years of work experience. Shift Differential Extra $15.00 per hour after 8pm on weekdays and after 12pm on Saturdays! Shift Schedule Three 12‑hour shifts on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Rotating Saturdays scheduled every 3 to 5 weeks. Schedules are subject to change based on department needs. Responsibilities Conduct all scheduled and on‑demand MRI scans according to department policies. Handle image reconstruction, archiving, filming, and other software tasks as directed by the Radiologist or standard procedures. Review diagnostic requests for correct anatomy and clinical history. Explain procedures to patients. Evaluate and ensure patient safety in the MRI environment, including following all screening protocols and ensuring patients wear gowns. Help patients on and off the MRI table, using lift assist devices when needed. Consult with the Radiologist and apply proper scanning protocols as instructed. Complete daily work schedules and document procedures using the Radiology Information System. Monitor patient flow and accommodate unscheduled or add‑on studies as needed. Identify and report equipment malfunctions; correct minor system problems when possible to minimize downtime. Perform weekly system quality control and all required equipment calibrations, warm‑up, and shutdown procedures, with proper documentation. Maintain daily inventory of medical and other supplies; obtain stock items as needed and report when non‑stock items need replenishing. Assist in training new graduates, employees, and students on AMI equipment as directed by management. Perform any additional duties as required and assigned. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited MRI program and registered in MRI by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or ARMRIT. Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to start of employment. Previous experience or certification in venipuncture preferred for the injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter; if not trained/certified, must be willing to obtain. In‑house training will be provided. Exceptional communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal, and written.
