Travel Paramedic & Trainer (West Coast // 100% Travel)

**Calling All Paramedic adventurers! This position requires extensive travel, filling for team members on rotation at various sites across the nation.**

Responsibilities

• Onsite and Remote Training (20%)
  
• Lead and deliver on-site training and education for employees on health, safety, and emergency response procedures.
  
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to on-site medical staff, reinforcing best practices and compliance standards.
  

Rotational Coverage Support (80%)

• Administer emergency medical care, including respiratory, trauma, and cardiac interventions, and conduct patient assessments (e.g., drug screenings), as needed to provide coverage.
  
• Perform record-keeping, filing, and data entry as required, excluding treatment-related records.
  
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment in accordance with safety protocols and standards.
  
• Provide guidance and information on medical treatments, procedures, and workplace health initiatives, promoting a strong culture of health and safety.
  
• Measure vital signs and collect specimens when required.
  
• Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately and timely.
  
• Monitor worker health and oversee preventive care initiatives on-site.
  
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and emergency response procedures.
  
• Maintain readiness for on-site medical incidents and emergencies.
  

Compensation Transparency

The hourly pay range for this position is $31.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, skills, certifications, and other job-related qualifications.

Employees assigned to eligible travel assignments may also receive a taxable per diem of $40.00 per day, subject to company policy and assignment requirements.

Based on a schedule of 40 regular hours and 10 hours of overtime per week, plus five days of eligible per diem each week, the estimated annual earnings for this position are approximately $99,000–$110,500. This estimate is provided for informational purposes only and assumes consistent scheduling throughout the year.

Actual compensation will vary based on hours worked, overtime opportunities, assignment duration, eligibility for per diem, and other applicable factors. Neither overtime hours nor per diem are guaranteed, and actual earnings may be higher or lower than the estimated range.

Requirements

• Must be willing to travel 100% of the time
  
• Must be able to work 50-60+ hours per week.
  
• Must be able to work 10-12 hour shifts (rotating shifts, weekends and holidays)
  
• Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs throughout the work shift.
  
• Ability to climb without difficulty.
  
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, handle or feel objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in small spaces.
  
• Ability to talk, hear, and taste/smell while performing job duties.
  
• Must have a favorable driving record for the past 5 years.
  
• Must pass detailed Criminal Background, Motor Vehicle Record, and Drug Screen checks.
  
• Ability to work independently in remote or isolated locations.
  
• Must have strong team collaboration skills.
  
• Knowledge of industry-specific safety procedures (construction, mining, etc.).
  

Skills and Experience

• Strong critical thinking and decision-making in high-pressure situations.
  
• Skilled in administering emergency care (CPR, trauma management, etc.).
  
• Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, local/state regulations).
  
• Proficient in medical record-keeping and reporting.
  
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with workers and management.
  
• Physical stamina to lift, assist, and manage patients.
  
• Ability to remain calm and professional under stress.
  
• Experience as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) provider
  

Required certifications and licenses

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent
  
• NREMT Paramedic License (required)
  
• Oregon or California State Licenses (one required, willingness to attain both)
  
• Driver’s license
  
• Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent (preferred)
