Overview

Davis Sanitation, Inc is seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our company.

Duties

  • Operate trucks for the transportation of refuse, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, and routing
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding services.
  • Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps, adjusting as necessary for traffic or road conditions.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the truck, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in truck driving, particularly with manual transmission vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality in deliveries.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team when necessary.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
