About The Position

Position : Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location : Lake Charles, LA 70605

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Shifts : 12hrs Nights (NIGHTS- 7PM-7AM unless floating to St. Patrick. The schedule changes to 6PM-6AM)

Total Weekly Gross : $ 2052 weekly on 36 hours ($57 / hr)

Weekly Stipend : $ 1234

Weekly Taxable : $ 820 pays for 36 hours ($22.7 / hr)

Job Requirements

NICU experience is required

1 - 3 years of experience preferred

RT or RCP License in state of employment required-LOUISIANA

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required

Current BLS certification required via AHA

Current ACLS certification required via AHA

Current PALS certification required via AHA

Current NRP certification required

CRT candidates can be considered for this position.

EMR EPIC experience required

Unit description / expectation : Level three NICU.

Needs to be able to work independently in the NICU and needs to have knowledge with ventilators, oscillations, nitric oxide therapy, drawing from arterial lines.

Therapists attend all c-sections. Being able to intubate is a plus.
