About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Specialty : Emergency Room / Med Surg

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12 Hour Day / Night Rotate

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : 2 years of RN experience required

License : Valid RN License required

Certifications :

• BLS required
• ACLS required
• TNCC preferred
• NRP preferred

Must-Have :

Description :

The candidate must have the ability to function independently in the Emergency Room.

The candidate will also be required to function on a Med Surg unit with up to 5 patients.

The typical nurse-to-patient ratio in the Med Surg unit is usually 3 to 4, depending on census and acuity.

The position requires working every other weekend and holiday.

Three call shifts are required during the contract duration.

Candidates should be familiar with computerized charting and medication systems.

Specific skills related to Med Surg and ER nursing are necessary.

A standard dress code must be followed, including navy scrubs with no logos.

White can be worn under the uniform or as a lab coat.

Training will include EPIC Computer training along with one day each for ER and Med Surg training.

Floating between the Emergency Room and Med Surg may be required.

The job requires effective communication and teamwork.

Candidates should be prepared for an acute care setting.
