American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Dothan, Alabama.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Med / Surg RN with at least 1 year of experience and proficiency in drips for a day shift position.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit with orthopedic focus and MS / telemetry overflow
  • Patient ratios of 1 : 6-7 with potential need for managing cardiac drips
  • Day shifts available : 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 0700-1930
  • Block scheduling may be accommodated
  • Must float to tele overflow when needed
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Completion of non-billable modules required prior to start

  • Active AL or compact RN license, or license pending
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience required
  • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
  • Proficiency with drips including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone
  • Must have experience in large healthcare facilities
  • Not open to candidates who have worked as permanent staff within the past 10 years
  • Applicants must live outside a 90-mile radius
