About the Role :
As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining essential electrical and instrumentation equipment at our production facility. Your daily responsibilities will include :
- Inspecting, testing, adjusting, calibrating, and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems.
- Monitoring meters, indicators, and gauges to identify irregularities.
- Maintaining operational knowledge of software and hardware used in the facility.
- Conducting preventative maintenance inspections on all control instrumentation.
- Troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures and resolving them efficiently.
- Completing work order cycles, documenting tasks performed, and recording equipment history.
- Diagnosing issues with plant electrical equipment.
- Performing cleaning, lubrication, calibration, and adjustments as necessary.
- Installing and placing electrical equipment into service.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment to minimize safety hazards.
- Utilizing a multi-craft skill set to perform various maintenance tasks as needed.
Who You Are :
High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical degree preferred.5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance.Able to thrive in both team-based and independent work environments with minimal supervision.Skilled in maximizing production and reducing equipment downtime.Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers, Servo and Frequency Drives.Demonstrates a professional demeanor and works cooperatively with others.Dedicated to promoting workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the facility.Willingness to work shifts that may include weekends, nights, and holidays.What’s it Like to Work at Drax?
