Employment Specialist Intern [Cleveland, OH] (Fall 2026, Unpaid)

INTERNSHIP DUTIES:

• Provide group instruction to clients based on approved curricula on topics including: job seeking skills resume creation basic computer skills and general adult education topics.
• Supervise usage of client computer lab to ensure productive activity assist clients on an individual basis as needed.
• Along with assistance administers assessments to determine clients education level employability soft skills and vocational choices.
• Records attendance progress and participation of clients in designated activities.
• Assists with making the appropriate community referrals.
• Assists with monitoring clients compliance with program rules.
• Effectively implements Agency and program policies and procedures.
• Ensures clients rights are upheld. Maintains client and staff confidentiality according to Agency policies and procedures; state law; and federal regulations to include Confidentiality on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patients Records 42 C.F.R. Part 2 and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 and 164.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
