Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Schenectady, New York. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, considering their medical history, mobility limitations, and specific rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall physical function.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to enhance recovery outcomes.
• Mentor and provide clinical instruction to physical therapy interns and students, fostering the next generation of healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify educational needs and facilitate ongoing professional development within the therapy team.
• Engage in clinical research projects with manager support, focusing on the latest advancements in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work predominantly with outpatient orthopedic patients ranging from post-surgical recovery to sports injury rehabilitations. Our diverse patient demographic includes individuals of all ages, from adolescent athletes to older adults seeking to regain independence. Your contributions will directly influence their journey towards recovery, enabling them to achieve their physical goals and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid New York State Physical Therapy license.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, demonstrating hands-on expertise in rehabilitation techniques.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills essential for patient interaction and collaboration with peers.
• Strong clinical assessment abilities to create customized treatment plans and adapt them based on patient progress.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
