$1,807 to $1,907 per week

About The Position

Title : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location : Eureka, CA

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Night Shift | 3x12-Hour (6 : 00 PM – 6 : 30 AM)

Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide respiratory care to patients across all age groups — neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Deliver and manage respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol and nebulizer setups, medication administration, and ventilator management.
  • Perform airway management procedures such as extubation, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and sputum collection.
  • Manage and monitor patients on BiPAP, CPAP, bubble CPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems.
  • Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and assist physicians with bronchoscopy and other respiratory procedures.
  • Support critical care and emergency department cases, including trauma, COPD, asthma, overdose, and COVID-19 patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in the Epic EMR system.

Required / Preferred Skills & Information :

  • Experience : Minimum of 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience (community hospital and Trauma Level II experience required).
  • Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, CRTT or RRT, valid California State License  .
  • Equipment Experience : Puritan Bennett and Avea ventilators (required).
  • Charting System : Epic.
