We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Senior Health Promotion Specialist

with an entrepreneurial approach and a strong commitment to developing and implementing comprehensive well-being programs for a prominent corporate client in

New York City, NY.

This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring three days on-site and two days remote each week. On-site responsibilities will be distributed across the client’s various offices in Upper Manhattan.

What you will do

Assess employees’ health needs using audit tools and client and employee feedback in order to develop and deploy appropriate well-being solutions and programming.

Coordinate, develop and deliver a range of programs that educate members on how to improve their health and well‑being.

Partner with the client, vendors and community resources to execute workplace well‑being strategies that will improve employees’ health and mental resilience.

Coordinate health and well‑being marketing and communications relating to the workplace’s on‑site and virtual spaces in order to promote healthy behavior and health care engagement.

Report on engagement, referrals, workplace well‑being initiatives and results in order to demonstrate improvement in baseline metrics.

What we are looking for

A bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., health promotion, health education, public health).

Three or more years of experience in health promotion, health management, human resources and organizational behavior or a related field.

The ability to multi‑task, and to execute time‑management, problem‑solving, organizational and follow‑up skills.

Strong technical and regulatory knowledge.

The ability to network, engage and interact with clients and members.

Competence with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Health plan experience.

Additional knowledge and experience that you can bring to this role, but which is not required

Master’s degree in health promotion management, public health or a related field.

Related health promotion or public health certification, such as National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC), WellCert Certified Wellness Practitioner or CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist).

Five years of industry experience.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $35 to $40. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs. In addition to the hourly rate, Plus One offers a comprehensive benefits package (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements), which includes health insurance, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off. Plus One, an Optum Company, adheres to all federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements.
