POSITION DESCRIPTION

UCR Extension is seeking artificial intelligence practitioners to deliver university-developed curriculum in AI on a part-time basis. Extension offers a Professional Certificate in Applied Artificial Intelligence and a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Artificial Intelligence. Courses focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning, including data preparation techniques (data collection, cleaning, and feature engineering). Learners train, validate, and fine-tune AI models, including large language models. The applied capstone course provides hands-on experience deploying and monitoring AI models in real-world applications.

Audiences include adult learners (domestic and international) and visiting students from abroad. Courses may be taught online or in classroom settings. UCR operates on a quarter system; courses are typically 10–12 weeks, with opportunities to teach in short-term courses as well.
