Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain applications using OpenMCT to support visualization and analysis of telemetry data.
Design and implement front-end features using JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 following modern web development practices.
Build and maintain modular, plugin-based software architectures that support scalability and extensibility.
Integrate real-time and historical data sources through REST APIs, WebSockets, and telemetry data pipelines.
Create and optimize interactive data visualizations for time-series and mission control data.
Debug, test, and troubleshoot applications using browser developer tools and testing frameworks.
Collaborate with the development team using Git workflows and contribute to open-source practices.
Write clear technical documentation and effectively communicate solutions within a collaborative team environment.
Apply knowledge of aerospace and mission control telemetry concepts to ensure solutions meet operational requirements.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 4 years of related experience or a master's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 2 years of experience or a PhD in an associated discipline.
Strong knowledge of C#, JavaScript, or QT5
Experience with OpenMCT (Open Mission Control Technologies) desired
Experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript for front-end development
Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development practices
Experience with Angular JS (1.x) and / or other component-based frameworks desired
Experience with plugin-based architecture and modular software design
Experience with REST APIs, Websockets, and real-time data integration
Ability to work with time -series / telemetry data and build data visualizations
Strong debugging skills using browser developer tools and testing frameworks
Proficiency with Git and open-source collaboration workflows desired
Ability to write clear documentation and communicate effectively in a team environment
Knowledge of aerospace / mission control telemetry concepts is desired
Must qualify for and maintain a government Top Secret security clearance and possess a valid, state issued driver’s license.
Must be a US citizen.
SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $140K- $170K annually.
