Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to serve as a technical linchpin and visionary leader within our Texas operations. In this role, you will move beyond standard execution to steer the design of sophisticated electrical and integrated communications systems, transforming complex client visions into high-performance reality. Core Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Design: Lead the conceptualization and execution of complex electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, UPS, and life safety for large-scale developments.

• ICAT Integration: Oversee the seamless integration of sophisticated communications technology, including AV systems, structured cabling, access control, and security infrastructure.

• Technical Stewardship: Develop and verify rigorous electrical load calculations, schematics, and equipment selections to ensure peak system performance and code compliance.

• Project Leadership: Manage the entire project lifecycle—from initial scope definition and budgeting to timeline management and final delivery—ensuring every milestone exceeds client expectations.

• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Act as the primary technical liaison, collaborating with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to ensure total system synergy.

• Team Mentorship: Cultivate the next generation of talent by providing direct coaching, technical oversight, and professional development to junior engineering staff.

• Quality Assurance: Review comprehensive construction documentation and conduct site visits to ensure the highest standards of installation and technical accuracy.

• Strategic Client Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify project shifts, manage expectations, and deliver innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.

• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience within a consulting engineering or AEC environment.

• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of electrical design software, load calculation tools, and a deep understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building standards.

• Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and mentoring technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized Certifications: LEED Accreditation or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

• Sector Expertise: Advanced experience in high-density residential or complex commercial "smart building" technology.

• Systems Depth: Specialized knowledge in sustainable energy systems or advanced fire alarm/life safety integration.
